Function, style and power rule with United Shades’ new window and cargo hold coverings
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — You may not have thought much about how window coverings affect the functionality and look of an RV interior. However, this year United Shade is introducing a number of new products that will display how the right shade can add both exceptional convenience and stylish dazzle to an RV interior.
An affiliate of the Dicor Corporation, United Shade has a history of improving the functionality of shade and screen systems. Now, it is bringing all-new motorized choices to the industry, such as its RollerShade for motorhome cabs. This powered or manual shade comes with multiple bracketing and installation options for a varietyof cab applications, including a slider option that lets it cover odd-angled window shapes.
Also motorized is United Shade’s Euro-style frame shade with screen and window covering all in one. With a remote, you can control the new frame shade, RollerShades, and any number of shades throughout the entire RV. The shades also have manual switch options. A new motorized cordless cellular shade will also be introduced at the show, featuring remote or wall button operation.
New style choices
Beyond the simpler, easier functionality, United Shades’ new RV window coverings add brand new style choices to perk up interior looks. These include the first faux-wood tension-style shade for RVs; new bamboo shades (Roman or roller) for another dose of trendy fashion; and woven wood shades — high style all the way!
Cargo screen for toy haulers
Toy haulers can also enjoy a new feature with United Shades’ GateKeeper CargoScreen™ for rear cargo openings. The screen is a tough, dark mesh kept rigidly in its side channels by an advanced technology ScreenGrip™ system. The dark screen also provides UV protection for interior furnishings and keeps the RV clean and secure while the owners are away. A custom graphic can be printed on the screen.
The GateKeeper opens and closes like a garage door with a key fob remote control from up to a 100 feet away. A manual version is also available. Designed to be easily installed with universal mounting hardware, the GateKeeper is expected to be marketed for the aftermarket as well as for OEM installation — another way toy haulers are getting better than ever.
